Second-Hand Volvo XC60
Used Volvo XC60
The XC60 began life as a concept car which leaked in 2006, but it was not until two years later that it made its official debut at the Geneva Motor Show. It hit the streets in 2008 and hasn't looked back since. It quickly became the biggest seller for this famous Swedish manufacturer and the used Volvo XC60 continued to impress both average drivers and critics with its practicality, efficiency and no-nonsense stylishness. The 1825kg weight is well-hidden thanks to the sleek, stylish lines of its exterior. The car itself is reasonably priced if you want a decent three-year-old XC60 with the bog standard 2.4 litre diesel engine. The sportier T5 and R-DESIGN iterations are obviously going to be costlier.
What You Get
Inside you'll set five adults comfortably and there's also plenty of room for luggage in the spacious boot. The interior is durable and well built, with plenty of premium materials on show. On the outside, the XC60 looks like a more compact alternative to the beefier XC90 and that is basically an accurate description of this model. It's endowed with a little more sense of occasion than Volvo's estate cars but is still a decent family vehicle that doesn't have to be used off-road to make sense.
How it Drives
The approved used Volvo XC60 may be endowed with some pretty powerful engines, but it’s far from the sportiest of cars. What it does offer though is refinement in the driving experience which makes it a great long-distance cruiser. Of course you might be wondering whether or not you can realistically take this off-road. It may have been designed to tackle the rough stuff, but the majority of drivers use it along British motorways and country roads as it handles wonderfully well.
