Second-Hand SEAT Ibiza
Used SEAT Ibiza
The SEAT Ibiza has undergone a huge number of improvements since the 1985 original. But, by 1999, the VW-touched SEAT Ibiza had established itself as a genuine contender in the European market, and the third-generation model was better than ever. 2002’s fourth generation continued with sleek design and top-notch mechanicals, winning a number of awards. Plus, the 2006 revisions were mostly cosmetic, giving this car a sportier outfit, with more changes taking place in 2008, when the environmental Cupra was dropped for the greener side of things. As a result, there are many variants of this popular car model to choose from in the range of used SEAT Ibizas for sale at RAC Cars.
What You Get
Campaigning as a better value package than other cars in its class, standard equipment has been generous all the way. From 2000, alloy wheels and air conditioning came as standard even on entry-level models. A centrally mounted screen houses all the car’s major functions, while sporty seats and a three-prong steering wheel add extra flair. Safety features include twin front and side airbags, side impact door protection, the newest crumble zone technology, seatbelt pre-tensioners, high-level rear brake light, advanced bifocal headlights, a collapsible steering column and reinforced bases below the front seats, to hold passengers securely in their seatbelts. What’s more, newer models benefit from height and reach adjustable steering columns, height adjustable driver’s seat, electric front windows, remote control central locking and a six-speaker stereo.
How it Drives
Used SEAT Ibizas have always shined on the road. The obvious fun can be had with sports variants such as the Cupra, but for more sensible motoring, the later Ibizas are pleasingly frugal and practical.
