Second-Hand Peugeot Bipper Tepee
Used Peugeot Bipper Tepee
Peugeot's Bipper Tepee is a very French vehicle that plays the role of the entry-level component to the brand's van-based MPV range. The Tepee designation, also given to the larger and plusher Partner model, is to mark the car-like version of the panel van of the same name. The Bipper Tepee definitely lacks glamour but is a supremely economical, functional and useful vehicle. It was launched in 2009 with two engine options; a 75bhp 1.4-litre petrol unit with a five-speed manual gearbox or a 70bhp 1.4-litre HDi diesel with a choice of five-speed manual or semi-automatic gearboxes.
What You Get
The used Peugeot Bipper Tepee is designed for families who need a four or five-seater, economical runaround for everyday activities – the school run, trips to the supermarket etc., but who also need to lug around a load of stuff. It boasts a funky, chunky look, but is not unattractive. While five adults can ride comfortably, on the outside the Bipper Tepee is smaller than other MPVs with a usefully compact turning circle, meaning tight multi-storey car parks and similar miserly spaces should be pretty straightforward. The cabin is large enough for plenty of luggage, with a usefully large rear aperture and flat loading bay for easy access, plus a handy hose-clean floor. The rear seats are foldable and completely removable and are reached via sensible sliding doors.
How it Drives
Despite the 4x4 styling, this is no off-roader. This is a vehicle expressly designed to cope with large loads. So, with that in mind, the Peugeot Bipper Tepee is a very useful vehicle, with reasonable driving qualities. While it may not be quick, it really is a very engaging little car that has many good points. It’s versatile, spacious and reliable, now what more could you want from a vehicle of this class? There’s also a height adjustable driver's seat with armrest and height and reach adjustable steering wheel, so getting comfy shouldn’t be an issue.
