Every year the Auto Express Driver Power survey questions car owners about their experiences with manufacturer dealers, to discover the best dealer network according to customers. This year, more than 50,000 car owners rated their local dealer in seven categories.

First: Lexus This year car owners once again put Lexus at the top of the pile as the best dealer network, with customers rating the company even higher than last year. It's the quality of service and value for money categories that are really impressing Lexus customers, for an overall score of 92.11%.

Second: Honda Honda dealers are clearly working on their customer service skills, as the firm has risen two places since last year's survey. Customers praised the helpful attitude and efficiency of staff and scored the Japanese company 89.85% overall.

Third: Porsche The only real criticism of the German sports car maker was in the value for money category, which is something of a given for a premium brand. However, Porsche dealers scored highly in all other categories, particularly when it comes to the sales process. Overall, Porsche was rated at 89.26%.

Fourth: Skoda With an 89.10% overall score, Skoda performed true to form. Not only does Skoda regularly fill the top spots for owner satisfaction but it seems customers are pleased with their service from dealers too. However, where the company took the top spot for value for money last year, it has now slipped to third place in that category, but the friendly staff appear to be making up for that.

Fifth: Subaru Previously rated in the top three, Subaru dealers will be disappointed to see they've fallen into fifth place. Nonetheless, that's a pretty respectable position among much larger brands and customers continued to praise the attitude of staff. Where Subaru lost some points this year was in the value for money category, coming sixth last year but dropping to 14th this year. However, the brand's overall rating was a very acceptable 89.09%.

The rest of the top ten dealers list is filled out by Toyota in sixth place, with an overall score of 88.98%, followed by Jaguar with 88.72% in seventh place, then MG making a good start to take eighth place with an 88.68% overall score. Ninth place went to Peugeot, in a big jump for the French company, scoring 88.12% and Kia brought up the rear with a score of 87.93%.
