Renault Puts Its Limited Edition Megane On Sale

By raccars Published

If you're torn between a middle-of-the road car and something a bit special, then you're in luck, as Renault have just announced that a limited edition version of the Megane will go on sale with immediate effect. Announced on Tuesday 23rd July, the car will be on sale only for a few months – this is a clever tactic, which is bound to heighten interest in the Megane and put Renault road cars in the spotlight.

Designed for summer 2013, the Renault Megane Knight is a special edition of the trusty Megane. The car comes with all the features you'd expect from the Megane, plus a few extras thrown in for good measure. Additional features on the Knight include 16 inch chrome alloy wheels and special GT bumpers for a sporty effect. The car also boasts tinted back windows and a tailgate add-on, which makes the Megane Knight stand out from Renault's run-of-the mill medium-sized vehicle.

The Knight will come with a Glacier White finish as standard, but customers will also be able to choose from a limited range of alternative colours, including Ruby Red, Malta Blue and Diamond Black. If Glacier White isn't your thing, then there's always the alternative Arctic White, which is bound to be a cool choice for summer!

The basic five-door hatchback version of the Knight is fitted with a 1.6 litre engine, while higher spec models of the Knight edition offer the option of a 1.5 litre dCi diesel engine.

One of the major attractions with the diesel model of the Megane Knight is its incredibly low rate of emissions, which means the car is exempt from road tax in the UK. While the diesel model is a little more expensive than the most basic model, you may find yourself making significant savings on tax if you plan to keep this car for a number of years. With a standard 4 year Renault Warranty, it's worth buying now with a view to driving this car in the future.

All the Knight Edition Megane Models are priced in the £17,000s, so this limited edition car represents remarkably good value for money. Of course, being a limited edition model, time is of the essence if you want to get your hands on this piece of Renault history. The car will only be on sale until the autumn, so get in there quickly to avoid missing out on the Megane Knight.
