Paris Motor Show 2014: Ford C-Max And Grand C-Max

By raccars Published

The popular Ford C-Max and Grand C-Max people carriers have been tweaked to bring them in line with the rest of the range such as the new Ford Focus, featuring an Aston Martin-style grille and a sleeker appearance.

On display at Paris in a fetching shade of brown (“Caribou”, apparently), the C-Max and Grand C-Max have followed the Focus in gaining a less-cluttered interior. There are fewer switches than before, and a new black satin trim and chrome detailing make for a cleaner, more modern look.

The revised turbocharged C-Max and Grand C-Max will be available with Ford’s new 150hp 1.5-litre Ecoboost petrol and 120hp 1.5-litre TDCi diesel engines – along with the existing 1.0-litre Ecoboost in both 100hp and 125hp guise. This three-cylinder turbocharged unit has been revised and will now emit 99g/km CO2 – meaning free road tax.

Prices for the new C-Max range will be similar to the outgoing models, which start at £17,655 for the regular C-Max and £19,745 for the Grand C-Max.
