Automotive manufacturers have a fine tradition of April 1st pranks, and this year's efforts mostly revolved around spoof new releases. Were you convinced by any of these?

Citroen C4 Cactus Arsenal Edition Fans of Arsenal FC probably jumped at the chance to get hold of this special edition C4 Cactus, decked out in the Gunners' red, blue and gold livery and logo. It apparently also contains new technology for following the team's fixtures. Only 11 units of the Gunners edition Cactus will be made, with special features including the G.O.A.L.I.E., or Geo organised Away-day Location, Information & Entertainment system, providing away match details, where to buy pie & mash and a pre-loaded football anthem playlist. Well, if you're silly enough to support Arsenal in the first place...

BMW Force Injection Booster The 'FIB' (get it?) makes driving slow feel like driving fast, thanks to positive G-forces shot through the air conditioning vents and a front seat that's electrically stimulated, to create the impression of speed. The alleged Force Injection Booster can be activated below 20mph.

Skoda Yeti Ice This special edition is dressed up for Arctic conditions, with customisation options, such as a furry finish and a side parting. Invented by Dr Yu Ciddingme, with a team of engineers in the Himalayas, the Yeti Ice's fur coat means motorists will be warm enough to forego the heater, even when driving in cold temperatures.

Mini Cooper T Taking environmental consciousness to a whole new level, the Mini Cooper T is powered by a biofuel composite made out of, yes, tea leaves. A single cup will give a 40 mile range, thanks to the scientific prowess of one Dr Ivana Kuppa, who has apparently been brewing this world first idea for years. BMW really got into the spirit of things with this hoax, even claiming new colourways imaginatively named Red Bush, Chamomile Yellow and Earl Grey - and that wasn't all from Mini! The Paceman Goal Cooper Edition was created as a tribute to Selecao Brasileira, the national Brazilian football team. It comes with astro turf flooring, a mini football table set into the centre console, a retractable goal and boot mates in the special Brasileiro Green colourway.

Peugeot Audio Sonic horns A personalisation programme that allows customers to select the sound of their horn from a library of options or upload their own chosen sound, allowing them to better reflect their character and taste. Due to be a standard feature on all Peugeots from July. Such a sense of humour...
