Local Roads To Get Cash Influx

By raccars Published

Local councils are about to be able to decide how they spend their £215m allowance for local road maintenance, which could be we will be seeing considerably less pot-holes across our regions. Let’s be honest; pot-holes are an easy fix, and they can be extremely dangerous and destructive to our vehicles, so it would be nice if the councils can fix them up before they do any damage.

Transport secretary Patrick McLoughlin said: "This extra money will support economic growth and development by helping local authorities to get the best out of their local road networks.

"This funding can be spent on measures to bring smoother, safer and more reliable journeys to the travelling public whether they are commuting to work or taking the children to school."

Let’s hope we do see a considerable difference with the quality of our roads in the New Year.
