Honda CR-Z Receives Mid-life Facelift

By raccars Published

Honda’s CR-Z has been a bit of a marmite car for the UK’s motoring public. It’s been well-received by critics, but sales haven’t really blown Honda away, hence why we’ve now been given an updated version for 2013. It’s an updated which has been needed, because Honda has finally upped the power from the 1.5-litre petrol engine to 135bhp – which is 10bhp more than before. It doesn’t sound like much, but the 0-62mph time has dropped a considerable 0.9 seconds – now down to 9.1 seconds for the Sport model.

That means, of course, you can at least reach motorways speeds with some dignity, all while you save money with your electric motor. It’s not just the powertrain which has been pumped up; Honda has also taken its hand to altering the design slightly. The CR-Z now looks like more of a prom-queen that Hybrid sports car. It’s a good looking motor.

Prices start at £20,550.
