Fuel Prices Cut Once Again!

Perhaps we’re getting ahead of ourselves, but it does seem like fuel prices are finally going down. The past few months we’ve seen a few cuts at the pumps but now, thanks to the supermarkets, we’re seeing some of the cheapest fuel for a while. Asda decided to cut its fuel prices by 2p a litre, which prompted its rivals, Tesco and Sainsbury’s, to follow suit – both of which offering discounts.

Asda petrol trading director, Andy Peake, said: "Today's move shows that we are once again leading the way in reducing the price at the pump.

"Unlike other retailers, our price cuts benefit everyone across the country, meaning that no one filling up at Asda will be forced to play a postcode lottery."

Fair play to Asda for taking the plunge, but surely this is just a nice bit of relief but they go up again? It definitely does feel like sometimes we’re taken for a ride, even when the price of a barrel of oil is low.
