AMG Gives The SLS The Black treatment

By raccars Published

Who doesn't love AMG? The insane tuning division for Mercedes-Benz has been producing bonkers special edition cars for Mercedes drivers for years, and now we’ve been treated to the SLS Black Series. If you know your AMGs, you’ll know the Black Series is the line of their most focused and powerful cars – something which should be mind-blowing in the already ridiculous standard SLS.

So, what’s changed? Well, a lot! Just look at the damn thing. It may be a little brash, but car finance fans should like the GT3-inspired exterior because, well, it looks incredible. AMG has also taken its hand to lighten the Mercedes-Benz SLS, with its kerb-weight now down 70kg; it should drive with more agility and eagerness.

Power now sits at a McLaren F1-rivalling 631bhp, so expect a 0-62mph time of just 3.6 seconds – an improvement of 0.2 seconds over the standard car.

If you want one, make sure you’re a millionaire, because this car is likely to cost around £250,000 when the order books are opened.
