New Nissan GT-R

New Nissan GT-R

Nissan’s GT-R is a stunning car that benefits from a variety of high-tech electronics married to a powerful engine and solid handling. Styling is also superb – the GT-R is sure to turn heads.

The new Nissan GT-R is designed to wear its heart on its sleeve – the styling and aerodynamic lines are unmistakably those of a racing car with a powerful motor, and admiring the vehicle you can find various modifications meant to improve efficiency, from air vents inside the wheel arches to a flat floor. At the front, the elongated headlights and elegant grille stand out, along with the six sculpted indentations that add a unique accent. Inside, the comfort has been vastly improved from the previous model and the whole interior emanates refinement.

One would expect a car of this calibre to have something quite special under the bonnet, and the new Nissan GT-R doesn't disappoint. The 480bhp 3.8-litre twin turbo V6 engine can reach speeds of up to 195mph and can go from 0-62mph in just 3.5 seconds. Although it is designed for speed, the GT-R performs exceedingly well on the road and on racing tracks in equal measure. The various driving modes and settings help to adapt the car to any real-world driving situation. Very responsive and agile despite its weight, the car also has excellent grip and feels most at home on winding roads and tighter corners, where it can shine. Equipment is impressive across all trims, with standard features including leather seats, LCD screen, cruise control, electronic climate control, 20-inch alloy wheels, metallic paint, and heated seats. The Premium edition adds automatic headlights and a Bose audio system, with other options also available.

Safety & Economy

Not surprisingly for such a powerful vehicle, the fuel consumption and CO2 emissions are both high, with the former remaining around a low 20s figure and the latter at 298g/km. Safety features include six airbags, traction control, tyre-pressure monitoring, and stability control.

Perfect for Driving Enthusiasts Impressive in more ways than one, the new Nissan GT-R will suit drivers who love fast cars that don't compromise on comfort or agility for performance. More than just a track car, the GT-R will perform very well on city streets, racing circuits and winding roads.
