New Audi A7

As Audi’s premium coupe, the A7 is a lightweight, agile vehicle with a design that marries elegance and sportiness. Although it leans slightly towards the latter, the A7 is adept at providing executive-level transportation with supercar performance.

Arguably one of the best looking models in Audi’s range, the improvements made to the A7 make it even more stunning. Re-sculpted bumpers give it a more aggressive look, and the grille houses glossy slats within a single chrome frame. The LED indicators are direction-sensitive, flashing in the direction you’re turning, whilst the main crease lining the body of the car is intended to make the A7 resemble the form of an athlete. The inside is of course made from the most luxurious materials. With a slick-looking dashboard and door inserts, aluminium console controls and a generally high level of craftsmanship, the A7 is impressive inside and out.

The A7 is powered by a selection of 3.0-litre V6 engines, all of which provide stellar performance. These range from the entry-level 215bhp TDI, all the way through to the feisty 552bhp 4.0-litre twin turbo housed in the RS7. All models (except for the Ultra spec) include Audi Drive Select, which allows the driver to tailor the suspension, steering and acceleration, as well as Quattro four-wheel drive for improved grip. Along with the chassis, this provides a smooth, supple ride, with light steering giving the A7 a nimble quality on both inner-city roads and motorways. The transmission is well-adjusted to performance too – in most cases, this is a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox with a highly precise ratio change. As with other vehicles in the range, Audi makes sure the A7 is well-stocked for features. Navigation Plus makes use of adaptive headlights that modulate light patterns to match the road and other drivers. Expect cruise control, climate control, dual-zone air-conditioning, satellite navigation and a host of other utilities that frequent Audis of this calibre, plus a number of unique extras that can be added for a premium.

Night vision cameras and adaptive cruising are useful additions, whilst standard precautionary features include multiple air bags and stability control. The A7 also includes a version of Audi’s eco-friendly Ultra specification seen in other cars in the range.

Perfect for Driving Enthusiasts and Executives Sporty without being pretentious, the A7 benefits from a lightweight, sleek design with touches of executive class. A range of powerful engines means performance is never a problem, and neither is the issue of handling, with the Quattro four-wheel drive providing superb grip and body control. The A7’s combination of beauty and brawn in such a smart package makes it perfect for both sport car fans and businessmen alike, with a form that suits both.
