An unbelievably good looking Aston Martin DB5 once owned by Paul McCartney when The Beatles were at their peak has sold at auction for £307,500. The event at Battersea Park, London, sold for such a high amount thanks primarily to the fact it’s an Aston DB5, but some credit should go to the former owner as, let’s be honest; Paul McCartney is a legend.
Peter Wallman from RM Auctions said: "The Aston Martin DB5 is one of the most iconic cars in the world, driven by James Bond. And we're talking about one of the most iconic super groups of the 1960s.
"We've sold a couple of cars owned by Steve McQueen which have sold for eight, nine, 10 times what they would be worth if they were just regular cars."
It’s another big auction sale and it shows that people are still willing to spend big to get themselves a piece of history.
We’re not jealous, honest.
