You may be familiar with handy-mechanic Edd China. If you’re not, he’s basically a genius mechanic who found fame fixing up old cars on a TV show called Wheeler Dealers. He’s also been quite prolific in creating one-off, record-breaking cars – like this eBay milk float.
It’s not just a milk float with eBay livery, though; this is the fastest milk float in the world. It’s been designed by China and BTCC racer Tom Onslow-Cole, with all the parts bought from the automotive section on eBay. The car reached an impressive 77.53mph, thanks to an ambulance-derived V8 and plenty of technical know-how from the eBay Motors BTCC team.
Tom Onslow-Cole, eBay Motors driver, said: "I'm delighted that we have broken the Guinness World Record for the fastest milk float.
"The team mechanics and Edd China put in a sterling effort to create a milk float that looks as slick as this and has the performance necessary to break the record."
All we can say is doing 77mph in a milk float sounds bloody terrifying!
